Since 2015 Weatherford College has an annual Earth Day event. I was charged with creating a logo, water bottle recycling bins, poster, social media, and art installation by using recycled material to kick off the inaugural event.
LOGO DESIGN
I wanted to make sure the design was as natural looking as possible. I like to start with a logo to help get the overall direction and concept will be involved with creating other documents and promotional material. I started with a vector outline of the logo. The committee decided it liked the bottom left mock up the best.
To create the finished product (below) I used a lino cut brush set I found for free online and applied it to my vector lines. I love the look of this final logo. The color palette is comprised desaturated natural tones and with the lino cut lines it gives the design such an organic feel.
